Artwork, prints and gifts by Ami Wallace
“I paint and draw to motivate and inspire, whether that is to get you outside,
to pick up a pencil or to encourage a new courageous step in life”
I am lucky enough to live and have grown up in the North Wessex Downs AONB and have been creating artwork under the name of “A.E.W. Fine Art” for over 15 years. My art has always reflected my position in life. When I was riding and later working in horse racing, I had a flurry of equine portrait commissions, but now as I reflect on my current place as a new mum in the weird ‘Covid’ landscape that we are all in, I would like my work to motivate and inspire, however that may be.
A lover of the natural world, I have enjoyed painting and drawing country life, equines, pets and wildlife. I pride myself in capturing character and texture in my work, whether it is the tweed of a hunting jacket or the soft puff of downy feathers. I am a very driven individual and strive for high standards, this results in me being unable to put the pen or paintbrush down until every hair is detailed. A frustrating, time consuming trait, but one that has always yielded pleasing results, both in my art and professional life!
The the origin of ‘A.E.W.’ is my maiden name, I am now Ami ‘Taylor’, but as I have had ‘A.E.W. Fine Art’ for so long that I chose to still use ‘Wallace’ for my artwork.
I am currently selling my artwork direct and through Etsy. I take commissions both private and corporate (fabric design, logos, gift cards etc) as well as selling my existing range wholesale to gift shops, mail order boxes and galleries.
